Apple is expanding the user pool of its TV app. The tech giant has announced that it has added support for Apple TV+ on the new Chromecast. Apple TV+ is available with Google TV. Apple said that the service of TV+ available to users worldwide. It promised that the streaming service will be made available on more Google TV devices soon. The latest development means Chromecast users with Google TV can access the Apple TV app. They can navigate to the Apps tab to watch shows. According to a company statement, this will give Google TV users the ability to watch award-winning documentaries, original shows, and more.

The statement added that users can also use the Apple TV app on Google TVs from Sony and TCL. The Apple TV app is a tool that allows users to Apple TV+ content and more. It shows content from iTunes, users’ library, Apple TV+, and more. It also can let users watch content from third-party channels like Starz and Showtime. Besides, they can also personalize recommendations. It comes with a Family Sharing option. The company allows users to share the subscription with six members. This means that a group of six people can share subscriptions. Apple in 2020 made the Apple TV app on other devices including Amazon, Samsung, and Microsoft consoles.

The Chromecast with Google TV offers the latest technology to users. Google claims that it streams video in up to 4K HDR at 60 frames per second. It now supports a voice remote. The company has added a dedicated Google Assistant button. It helps users to search for the content. It also answers everyday questions. It also eliminates the need of having multiple remotes to control the system. Google TV was launched in October last year. The company made it available to users in the US on the new Chromecast dongle. The dongle is available for USD 49.99. It later made Google TV available via the new Google TV app. Google has since then expanded the service and introduced to televisions from Sony and other Android TV OS partners. It is also available on Nest Audio and new Pixels devices.
