Tech giant Apple is planning to launch its smallest iPhone. The launch could coincide with the unveiling of the new iPhone series 12. It is expected that Apple will launch its next-gen iPhone in mid-October. The iPhone in the talks will be its smallest iPhone. It may be called the iPhone 12 Mini. The model will sport a 5.4-inch display. The device will come with a solid Apple heritage. Apple in past had launched other devices in the mini-series. They are iPad mini, iPod mini, and Mac mini. The upcoming model is likely to take the place of iPhone SE. iPhone SE is the smallest handset offered by Apple.

Apple in April this year launched a new iPhone. The low-cost device is called iPhone SE. It was believed to be the follow-up to the 2016 iPhone SE. The new iPhone SE is said to be the most affordable iPhone offered by Apple. It carries a price tag of just USD 399. It invited praise from audiences for its design, performance, cameras, and of course the price. It features a powerful 4.7-inch Retina HD display. The device is seen as a threat to Android phone makers in terms of delivering high-quality services for the lowest price. The iPhone 12 Mini is said to be just like its predecessor in terms of performance.

The iPhone 12 Mini will be Apple’s first smartphone with the mini moniker. It will be smaller than the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro device. The Cupertino based company is expected to launch four new iPhones. While the one will be called iPhone 12 Mini, the three others are iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. While iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will come with a 6.1-inch display screen, the last one will feature a 6.7-inch display. The four models will feature OLED displays. The smartphones will be the first 5G iPhones. The Pro versions will come with an A14 processor.
