IMDb TV App

Amazon has an ad-supported free streaming service IMDb TV and it has now its own dedicated app. The app is available for free download for both Android and iOS mobile devices. The app of the streaming service has been made available after it was launched on all other platforms earlier this year. IMDb TV is a hub of movies and series that are free for all. The ad-supported platform also has its own dedicated originals. Amazon Studios produce these originals. Till now, the content of IMDb TV was available in the primary IMDb app as there was no standalone app for the service for Android and iOS.

A company spokesperson said that the content will continue to be available on IMDb. However, the app has been developed to enhance the streaming experience. There are enough content available on IMDb TV. However, its originals were not as popular as titles from larger premium services. But for users who don’t bother about ads, there is more than enough content available for free streaming on the service. From documentaries to sci-fi titles, the platform has enough to offer something to every user. Some of the famous titles available for streaming are Mad Men, Lost, and Schitt’s Creek.

Moreover, IMDb TV recently announced a deal with Universal. As part of the deal, the platform will be able to live stream some content exclusively. They will also be able to provide some animated titles as well. The platform was earlier made available on the majority of major streaming devices including Roku, Xbox, PlayStation 4, Google TV, Fire TV, and Nvidia Shield. IMDb TV is also available as a free channel within the Prime Video. It is pertinent to note that users will need to have an Amazon account in order to sign in to the app. However, the Prime membership is not required to use the app. Even if you are a Prime member, this will not save you from ads.
