Tech giant Apple just launched iPhone 13 lineup. This includes four models. The new models are iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The company is now mulling a major change when it releases the next lineup. If reports are to go by, Apple will do away with the mini model. The next-gen iPhone lineup that will be released in 2022 may not feature a mini model. Apple releases a new lineup every year. The September event is eagerly awaited by iPhone owners worldwide. It means that iPhone 13 mini will be the last ‘mini’ model by the Cupertino-based smartphone maker. It is, however, not clear whether the iPhone 14 lineup will have three or four models.
The new iPhone 13 mini comes in three storage options. They are128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. It features a display of 5.4-inch. It has a Super Retina OLED display. According to Apple’s claim, the display provides a Full HD+ resolution. The iPhone 13 mini weighs only 141 grams. Its dimensions are 131.5 x 64.2. The thickness is 7.7mm. Apple has powered iPhone 13 mini with a 2,438mAh battery. It supports 20W fast charging. It also supports MagSafe wireless charging. The device sports a 13MP front camera. Its rear-facing camera is a dual-LED. It is packed with a 12 MP main camera and an ultrawide lens. This offers a 120-degree view.
The handset also has support for Face ID. The model has an A15 chip with a 5-core GPU. This is the same configuration that the company has provided in iPhone 13 Pro models. The company claimed that A15 is the fastest smartphone chip in the world. It is 50 percent faster than the rival chips. It also enhances the graphical performance. The iPhone marker had in 2020 launched the mini form-factor. One reason behind the decision could be the poor sale performance of the iPhone 12 mini. The new iPhone 13 mini handset is yet to show its performance in the market.
