Popular messaging app Telegram has launched a new feature as a part of the version 8.0 update. The company said that the new feature is related to live streams. The feature is available for unlimited viewers. It means that the company has lifted the cap on the number of live video stream viewers to groups and channels. The live stream feature with unlimited viewers is available with the 8.0 update. Telegram in a statement said that viewers can also raise a hand and join the broadcast. It noted that the Group Video Calls feature on the platform is a powerful tool for live broadcasts. The feature will become better with the new update that allows unlimited viewers to join the broadcast.

The update has also enabled options for users to remove captions from media. When forwarding, users can now hide the sender names. Users can deselect messages that they don’t wish to forward or send. There is also an option for changing the recipient if users tapped the wrong chat. Besides, Telegram has made it easier for switching to an unread channel. It means that users don’t require going back to the chat list for switching. Users can scroll through the channels easily. Telegram said that it has also added an improved sticker panel in the updated 8.0 version. Also, Telegram has introduced new animated emoji. The company added that users can edit and preview messages how they will look along. There are several other options for customization.

Telegram said that its app will follow the structure set up by users. It means that if a user has organized the chat list with folders or archived chats, the app will show in the set format. The trending stickers are being shown to users just above the Recently Used option in the panel for the sticker. Users can even save a pack of stickers for future reference. Telegram has also modified the previews for sticker suggestions. The app shows larger previews now. There is also an unread messages counter. The counter is added to comment threads. The encrypted messaging app recently announced the ability of group video calling feature to 1,000 people.
