Galaxy Tab S6 5G: Samsung Set To Release World’s First 5G Tablet In South Korea Market For 999,900 KRW

Samsung

South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung Electronics has announced that it will release a 5G table this week. The tablet will be available in the South Korean market. According to Samsung’s claim, the Galaxy Tab S6 5G is the world’s first 5G tablet. It will be available in the domestic market from January 30. With this, the Korean smartphone maker will become the first company to launch a 5G-enabled tablet in the world. The device will carry a price tag of 999,900 won. Samsung has not unveiled the launch schedule for the product outside the home turf. But the 5G compatible tablet will likely be available in the international soon. Notably, South Korea is one of the few countries in the world with active 5G networks and the launch of a 5G table makes a sense.

The Galaxy Tab S6 5G weighs 420 grams. It will come in grey color in the Korean market. The device has a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display and AKG-tuned quad speakers. It also supports the smart S pen. It will have 128 gigabytes of the storage facility. Samsung wants to lead the 5G global market even before the fifth-generation wireless technology for cellular networks becomes a reality in the world. The company has been working to expand its 5G portfolio for long. Samsung already sells Galaxy 5G devices in the international market. The line up includes Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note10 5G, Galaxy Note10+ 5G, Galaxy A90 5G, and Galaxy Fold 5G.

In 2019, Samsung exceeded its sales expectations of 5G devices. The company was the second player in the global 5G smartphone market, accounting for nearly 35.8 percent share. It sold 6.7 million units of five Galaxy 5G smartphones. The company has positioned Galaxy S10 5G and Note 10 5G models as the flagship smartphones offered by the company. Meanwhile, the US tech giant Apple is believed to be working on the first-ever 5G enabled iPhone and iPad. Both are likely to be launched alongside iPhone 12 later this year.
