Elon Musk Said On Self Driving Tesla Is Vastly Ahead Of Its Competitors

Tesla Inc. according to Elon Musk is on the verge of accomplishing a full autonomy over self-driving cars. While having an interview with MIT researcher Lex Fridman, Elon Musk said that Tesla is just two years away from making full self-driving cars. Musk while talking about competition told that Tesla was ahead of its competitors since the beginning and that’s why now the company is producing a tremendous amount of self-driving cars at a faster rate. Musk said Tesla users would not need to put their hands on the steering wheel in the next six months because the company will be achieving their target of autonomous cars by the end of this year.

Musk seemed to be pretty much confident about Tesla, and its growth in the self-driving industry as compared to other companies CEOs who are not that much optimistic. However, this is not the first time when Elon seemed so much confident about autonomous cars because in 2015 he said that Tesla would be able to achieve a target of self-driving cars in two years.

Ford’s CEO Jim Hackett said that company overestimated arrival of self-driving cars in the market and now executives think it will take some more time for them to launch fully self-driving vehicles. According to Elon musk tesla is ahead of its rivals but some experts are still skeptical about its position. Because if we look back, then Tesla’s condition had been worse since it went from near bankruptcy. Even if Elon managed to get out of it from that terrible situation, some experts think Tesla needs to improve its core operations. A few days ago company declared that they are laying off some of its employees which was an indication that Tesla can’t afford to pay a salary of a large number of employees.
