Apple Company will Launch the Latest iPad Pro with an M2 Chip Between September to November 2022

Apple - iPhone

According to Apple device tracker Mark Gurman’s ‘Power On’ newsletter, Apple Company intends to launch an iPad Pro with the M2 chip between Sept and Nov of this year. Mark Gurman anticipates that Apple will release a significant update for the next generation iPad Pros, ostensibly including support for the MagSafe charging.

According to Mark Gurman, Apple last updated the iPad Pro in 2018, when it introduced a design with an edge-to-edge display, harder corners, and a USB-C connector. This update arrived about a year and a half after the iPad Pro 10.5 was launched in 2017.

The New Ipad Pro Is Also Rumored To Have a Glass Backing

Apple Company is on track to follow the same model this year, has released the latest version of the iPad Pro with an M1 chip in May 2021. The rumored iPad Pro launch date between September to November 2022 implies that Apple will be spending around one year and four months and the equivalent of one year and six months to prepare the new model.

At Apple Company’s “Peek performance” event, the company showed off its recent iPad Air model but did not reveal an updated iPad Pro model. Mark Gurman estimated that the iPad Pro would include a glass back design and wireless charging in the last year. According to the sources, Apple could have dropped the glass back design idea, perhaps opting for an aluminum backing with an engraved transparent Apple branding.

Gurman believes that the chip’s CPU (Central Processing Unit) will be quicker than its predecessor and use the same eight-core design. Gurman also believes that Apple may include the M2 chip in the iPad Pro, the brand new iPad Pro, 13.2-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and the 24 inches iMac that are being rumored to launch later in the year. There has been no information regarding the M2 chip that was rumored in the meantime because Apple Company does not officially verify it.

The predictions regarding an M2 chip to power the new MacBook Air are split – Gurman claims MacBook Air will come with the chip that is rumored to be in the works, while Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes it will come with the M1 chip.

Design and Display

The recent iPad Pro display and design rumors started in June 2021. Apple Company is rumored to release a better iPad Pro with an M2 chip. The company is testing a glass back design on the iPad Pro 2022; as per analysts, it becomes a drawback because it would make the product much more fragile and easy to damage.

Regarding iPad Pro 2022 display, the company will launch two different sizes of iPad Pro, including 12.9 inches and 11 inches. According to analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young, Apple will include LCD technology in the smaller iPad devices because of the high production cost.

Processor and Storage Capabilities

Following Apple’s surprise inclusion of the M1 chip in the iPad Pro, it’s likely that the company will include an upgraded version of this chip in the latest 2022 iPad Pro. Of course, the recent iPad Pro would have the M2 chip, which is expected to be released alongside a redesigned MacBook Air.

In the latest 2022 iPad Pro, the company will offer various storage capabilities, including 2TB, 1TB, 512GB, 256GB, and 128GB.

The Battery, 5G, and new Accessories

Recent information shows that Apple is working on a new generation iPad Pro with a larger battery. Some users complain that the Magic Keyboard drains the battery too quickly. Apple is expected to include the ability to charge the 2022 iPad Pro with a MagSafe charger faster than the one available for the iPhone.

Although there are no rumors about the 5G capabilities of the 2022 iPad Pro, Apple will likely add more bands for the upcoming model. There are no rumors about new accessories, but since the company intends to introduce a MagSafe connector for charging the iPad Pro, the Smart Folio and Magic Keyboard could be updated.
